This Short-Term Disability is Starting to Get to Me

First off, let me tell you what they did: it was supposed to be a laminectomy (shaving of bone tissue to relieve pressure off the sciatic nerve) of L5-S1.
What ending up happening, however, was that PLUS removal of the herniated disc AND removal of a pretty big benign tumor in that location. I still have to see the surgeon again before he'll release me to go back to work, which won't be 'till next month at the earliest now...

Last week, I did go to an interview for a position at a state-run psychiatric hospital. I figure if I have to work, it's better to try and at least work in the field I want my degree in, right? The interview went well, I thought, but you never know. I'm supposed to know something by the end of this week or early next.

Until then, bills keep piling up. Creditors keep nagging me & the Mrs. (Nationwide Credit is the worst; they don't understand the concept of financial hardship). I've had to start selling things I really like on eBay & Amazon Marketplace. If you're interested, it's mostly DVDs, electronic stuff & 1 acre of land in Arizona I was saving. Crap.

I'm tired. I'm sore. I'm pissed. What else is new?
