Schooool's - Out - For - Four Weeks!

Somehow, it doesn't do the Alice Cooper song justice when you say it like that.

Aced another class; yay me. Should be on Teachers Pet - er, Deans List - this time. Not caring about what an honor it is; hoping it will get me transferred out of here quicker.

Took a extracurricular gig at the school newspaper as a columnist. Figure I should be fired/banned in about a month or two, the time it will take 2 issues of the paper to come out. It'll be worth it to see my byline and my harsh, honest words baking the retinas off those impressionable young eyes.

Still no job, but again I think I can change that with the help of the Job Center. They seem willing to help me, which is more than I can say about the Tuttle Agency and AppleOne: they've both done a big, steaming, heaping pile of nothing for me. Still going ahead with the disability application, though. Just in case.

One of the Mrs.'s other brothers went to the islands last month with his kids. They were to return this weekend, but got caught up in HK due to some typhoon. Dr. Bro In-Law found that funnier than I did, although I did find it slightly funny I admit. Everybody there was wailing about "waaah, they're stranded in Hong Kong", and we were all like "yeah, poor bastards. Stuck in some undeveloped countr... hey wait, isn't Hong Kong, like, a major city. They could BOOK A HOTEL!"

Bubba got a little urpy yesterday. Okay now, but will keep eye on. Likes his train set much better now that I picked up ramps for the two sets of tracks so they connect. Figure I'll join him and create a train track monstrosity in the living room over time, just for the hell of it.

Statistics is my next class. Might take more, but not until loan comes in. Probably wouldn't overburden myself what with the math and all anyway. I'm definitely getting a tutor and what ever help I can find for this class; it's so sad. I used to be able to do long pre-calc equations on a blackboard against other students against the clock when I was 14, but my math skills seem to have been killed by one too many bottles of vodka over the years. *sigh*

I have really got to get rid of a lot of shit around here. The amount of space we'd have if we got rid of all the shit we never use would be astounding. And I'd better do it before too long, or I'll have no back to lift with.

What does that mean? It means the neuro told me I've now got the same problem at C5-C6. Which means more painful tests followed by more painful injections followed by, inevitably, more surgery. Yay me.

Thank God for legal narcotics, that's all I'm sayin'.
