Told You I'd Be Back

...aaaaaaand, we're back.

"There are more important issues that needs to be addressed like how all of our troops are over seased dying for no reason"

This posted reply by pierrepaulmarsha on Yahoo! regarding the misrepeorted death of Sinbad (why people care if Sinbad is alive or dead is beyond me) only shows one that unreasoned speech isn't just the purview of George Bush. "over seased"? No excuse for that one.

After about 2 weeks I've managed to get a handle on my 2 current classes (again, semesters at LaGuardia are broken up into 2 sessions, so one does a full-time ticket but can break it up somewhat): Abnormal Psychology is interesting as well as
being the class that will require information retention. Urban Studies, by its very nature, is class you can show up for and pass, as there are 6 papers the class requires but no exams - even final. Good thing, as the professor's new and clearly has adjustment issues.

Bubba's going nuts while I'm typing this. He gets bored easily, even with all the toys and videos (yes, he's spoiled but not nearly as bad as some of the family kids in New Jersey; one kid has X-Box 360, Nintendo Wii and Sony PSP. All Bubba has at the moment is the vSmile). One thing in his favor: he is looking forward to going to pre-K. Don't know why, don't care. The fact that he's interested in school in any way is welcome in our house, as it allows me to take more classes and whatnot.

Visiting the closest in-laws this weekend. We do this every week because Bubba's favorite female cousins are there and he loves playing with them. Just like Bubba's a nickname, I'll label them what I call them here: K-Fed and AliG. They're like 2 sides of the same coin, the older so serious and cynical (like her father), the younger a cheerleader in the making (like her mother).

Also seeing Crazy Lady on Sat. (eh).

Enjoy. the rest of the month. Happy Drunken Irishman Day.
