It's 90-something degress here in NYC today, which isn't the problem; the problem is the ozone levels are at 100%, so an advisory is out for people not to go out and mess around. So that means no park or other thing for Bubba today, which is kind of sucky. At least he has his visit to his cousins to look forward to.
Session II of my last semester at LaGuardia is about to begin (Session I finals for me end the 6th of June, then it's back for new classes on the 25th), and already it's making me glad it's my last: Burser's office put a hold on my next classes and when I went down to find out what was up, they said I owed 35 cents.
35 cents, so they put a hold on my classes. If I hadn't paid before classes began, I'd have been dropped over 35 cents.
So... after I gave my harshest look to the peon behind the bulletproof glass I paid the 35 cents with a $10 bill, and almost had to come back because she said she didn't have change. But I convinced her that that wasn't my problem, so I left with things settled there.
Also, I switched a class I didn't really want to take for a class I need, which is good. More days but less hours a day. And it's Biology, a subject which I have already gotten Bs in at more advanced classes in San Jose (why I still have to take a basic course here in NYC is a bureaucratic issue, so don't ask). But I need to take it to satisfy requirements, so that's fine. It'll be a light class for me before the malestrom of Hunter in the Fall, which I am ready and eager for still.
Gee, I hope all this enthusiasm doesn't disappear when I get there...
Anyway, bought another laptop for the Mrs.: Bubba's been hogging the family computer as of late (he taught himself to log in and check for off switches, so can't use those things to keep him off anymore - and he's not even 4 yet! God, I'm so proud).Bad side is he's chewing on the keyboard wire now, so soon I'll have to get a cordless keyboard too.
More after the turn of the month. Laters.
