Wow. The year's halfway over.

Went to CT. yesterday for an early 4th BBQ/fireworks show at friends. Bubba finally used a pool, which he had been sort of skittish about up 'till now. Unfortunately, he's also been getting more pushy with his mother lately, for reasons yet unknown. This is causing the Mrs. some pain, however, so I have to try and figure it out. Is it just pre-schooler misbehavior, or a sign of something worse?

The fireworks were fun, mainly because halfway through the show Brian had set up the setup got out of control and over half of the stuff went up at once, with a fire burning in the platform as well. Much whooping from all present. They have 2 cats up there: Belle and Smokey. Belle is an attention whore and Smokey's a recluse. I wish I could get a cat. Someday, someday...

First exam Monday in Bio class. Not worried. Must register at Hunter in 2-3 weeks. Then it's the financial aid waltz for another month until classes begin there.

Sent off an email to mortgage broker for update; wondering what's taking the paperwork so long. Sheesh.

Since it's so early in the month, more surely to come.
