I Feel So Dirty...

Today, I accepted around $100.00 from someone for a collectable toy I sold on eBay. Of course, I never suspected someone would spend $100.00 on something I paid about $15.00 for 3 years ago. But when I did notice the price going up, I assumed it was a fellow collector. Today, I learned the buyer is giving it to his son for his birthday. Now here's the rub: anyone who's ever seen M.Knight Shamalyan's "Unbreakable" remembers the scene in Mr. Glass's art shop when the customer wanted to buy some comic book art for his young son's birthday. Mr. Glass then gave the slug hell for even thinking he could buy the things he himself held in such regard. I want to refund this pleeb his money. I really do. But I can't. I need it badly. But I hate it. If / when I'm back on my feet financially, I will do my best to keep cool collectables out of ungrateful, undeserving hands. *sigh*

Other news during the week: I got a B- in "Writing Through Literature", insipid yet oddly mandatory. Next stop - Sociology.

I'm calling the headhunter Shaun's fiancee, Maureen, got her job with Monday. Hopefully, I'll be able to set up a face meet in a week or so. I'm REALLY ready to get back into the real business environment. Video liquidation is surreal at best, and doesn't pay worth a damn unless you're willing to abandon your family for the road. No thanks.

Bubba is getting bigger and more active by the week. Beginning next week, I'm wrangling him in the daytime on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at least until money is better again. Good thing / worrisome thing. We'll see.
