Apparently, I'm Not as Screwed Up as I Thought I Was

That award now goes to Crazy Astronaut Stalker Mom. Thanks for raising the bar, bitch.

Here's a pathetic little countdown: 17 days before it's been six months since I applied for disability. My only concession is that if I hear nothing after that, I'm automaticaly - under law - entitled to recieve benefits. Something about they have a time limit to determine, yadda yadda yadda. Works for me. Literally.

Back hurting today. Combination of cold weather (all freeze and no friggin' snow!)and a self-reduction of the Vicodin. I do this every once in a while to taper things off. Also, it helps to maintain the drugs effectiveness. Good thing I still go to A.A., I'd probably practice that philosiphy about my alcoholism.

Bought Bubba a V-Smile learning system the other day. Basically, it's a glorified video-game-posing-as-learning-system, but it's better than nothing. He got through one game today with only verbal prompting, which is a great leap from 2 days ago when he didn't even realize he was holding a joysick that controlled the movements of the characters on the screen. Way to go, son.

Settled the civil suit without a fight; seems they had gotten my offer but somehow sent thier reply to the wrong address. Figures. In court, we hammered the rest out and away I went. Go me.

The Mrs.'s birthday is coming up soon. I'm stumped so far, but I always come through so I'm not worried.

See 'Pan's Labyrinth' if you get a chance; it's a great film.
