Yes, it's been a while. Sue me.
The Mrs.' mother passed away on the 28th of October. She was interred on the 10 of this month. In between it's been prayer vigils and novenas, long nights sitting up with the Mrs., wakes, dinners and family (on her side) coming and going from all over the place. Some came in from Austrailia, Canada, the P.I. and California, as well as the nearest sibs from Maryland. This kind of extended greiving must drain even someone who is used to a bunch of family around. Me, an only child, was damn near loco after it's all said and done. Thank God for school, as pedestrian as it's been lately.
Christmas shopping for Bubba and the Mrs. is done already;I'll have enough of a problem with those left I have to buy for (neices and nephews and such). Still, it's better than a funeral...
Bubba's doing really well, as far as I'm concerned. He speaks well and understands almost everything you say to him, especially regardeing instructions. And I'm especially fond of the fact that he gives me time to sleep in the morning. What a little trooper, just sitting on the end of the bed watching T.V. until I wake up. Then he greets me with a "hi, daddy!", a hug and a kiss. Who could ask for anything more?
Physically, I dunno. My heart's a little jumpy lately and my internist wants me to see a gastro guy soon. probably because of all the meds I take, I'm sure.
Seriously: as I sit here typing my heart's doing the jitterbug. I'm gonna take my blood pressure pills now, just to be sure.
More in a day or two (or three).
Lates.
