Yesterday I'm watching some CNN / MSNBC station (they're all the same) which had call-ins from people during the Wisc. and Haw. primaries. This one lady in particular had me going:
She qualified her comments by saying she was a Democrat and that she had no problem with black people. She then went on to say that from what she understood and what she believed she heard on television, Obama was a Muslim (which he isn't but that's not the point) and therefore could not be trusted with the presidency. When the newsman noted that Obama was in fact a sort of Christian, she was like "well, that's what I heard on T.V."
I love it: rascists have a new blanket to hide under; television. Regardless of whether they're right or wrong, they think what they hear on television supports thier deep-rooted fears. To call this ignorance is too easy: this is something new. What a paper this would make.
Bubba has no school this week, so I'm watching him all day long. Kinda weak as I have plenty of schoolwork to do and honestly I get distracted when he's around. My fault, not his.
Had to go to hospital on Sunday night at 11PM for kidney stone (I think... not sure, will follow up on the whys and wherefores). Passed out in the ER before I passed it. Still have plenty of pain in that quadrant though. Not like last time. Going for MRI tomorrow. Must remember to bring either PSP or portable DVD player, as trip to Long Island is long and dull. Why all the way out there for an MRI? Because my neurologist's a picky bitch.
Have to go; Bubba's bugging me to play Super Mario Kart on here, and I can't think of any reason not to give in ;P
Peace.
