100th Post Extravaganza!

Wow. 100 posts. That's a lot for me, believe me.

Well, enough of that: onto the post.

Classes are actually boring, and even the Statistics for Psychology isn't as difficult as I thought it would have been. The women's studies class is all over the damn place (race, gender, social standing, etc.) as is the class on Puerto Rican opperssion (which so far has focused on Spain, Haiti, Columbus, Bolivar but no P.R.). In fact, the only class to stay on subject is the Statistics class, and I'm guessing that's only because no one in the department could figure out how to worm something in there.

I've become a torrent whore: won't mention what or where, but I definately download too damn much. On top of that I found another laptop on top of some garbage bags on 40th St. and 5th Avenue last week which I got up & running as soon as I could buy a A.C. cord for it. So now I have 3 computers - 1 deskie and 2 lappies - all downloading crap almost 24/7. Somebody stop me.

Tax time will bring a nice refund, and combined with the Bush-sponsored handout we're going to take Bubba to Disney World this Summer. He'll either be happy as a clam or go apeshit with terror at the sight of a giant mouse. I'm betting on the latter. He has a new addiction as well: Need for Speed Underground. He's really good too. Better than me. That's not saying much though, as I'm more of a hardware tinkerer than a gamer.

Need to go get another MRI; might have a new tumor growing behind my spine. Nice, huh? My neurologist has taken me off Vicodin and put me on the Fentanyl patch. That's a hell of a lot stronger - like 10 times the strength of heroin I'm told. The important thing is it works better than anything else i've tried so far. I mean, no pain! Jeebus! Who knew life could be so pain-free? Of course there's the side effects like drowsiness and that you shouldn't drive or operate machinery. I hope the Social Security office figures out that this is related to my condition and get off the pot about my disability.

The Mrs. and I have been pretty mellow lately, and that's a good thing. A quiet home is a happy home.

See you in a few.
