The answer, as with most things these days, is ... 'yes".
My back hates me. I mean, my back is really, really resentful of me lately. I've been doing most of the renovation work on our bathroom by myself up to now (and a day or two more before the guy I hired to tile and install the new shower pipes and sink and electrical whatnot shows); tearing up tile and wall and floor and bending and lifting and many other potentially hurtful things which my poor, post-surgically weakened spine cannot take for an extended period. But I do it, for the simple reasons that I can't afford to have more help, it needs to be done and the long-term benefits outweigh the short-term agonies.
Today is Easter, though: supposedly a day of physical rest and spiritual reflection for my adopted ilk (Catholics). So was Friday and yesterday.
Instead, I took the brood to visit family, go to Mass, go to the city to try and maybe get discounted Brodaway tickets (failure), dress up and go to birthday party for 90 year-old matriarch from New Jersey (wife did not find out dress code, so I ended up being the most casually dressed person there; was actually embarrassed), did some other things I forgot already and am now feeding Bubba in anticipation for family arrival before we all go to Coney Island.
Am dizzy, in pain, tired and slew of other things. Plus, haven't started on school presentation yet.
*sigh*
Bubba's in karate class now. Tues. & Thurs.. Has love/hate relationship with classes.
Got 52" T.V. two days ago. Last night was first time to actually enjoy for more than 10 minutes (watched Star Trek II until 3AM). Sweet. But you know best thing? Was free, sans cost of picking up from house of wife's co-worker's sister, who divorced hubby and is now simply getting rid of everything before ex can get. Love, huh?
More later. Got to dress Bubba for Coney Island.
Sees yas.
