1) In the movie "Wildcats", the entire boys football team flashed thier female coach (Goldie Hawn)and no litigation resulted.
2) Torture was not an option for U.S. servicemen when dealing with detainees, according to my 'The Law of Armed Conflict' booklet, which was given to me in boot camp back in '85. Quote: "You may question captives and detainees for military information of immediate value to your mission...BUT...never use threats, torture, or other forms of coercion to get information." Guess the 'War on Terrorism' changed all that.
3) Street gangs, while violent, didn't slaughter innocent bystanders when gunning for rivals.
4) Computers still had uses other than for porn and blogging.
5) The only crazy-assed dictator I can recall back then was Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi, who many Americans affectionally called "Quadaffy Duck", and his desire to beat Michael Jackson in the medal-strewn jacket competition.
6) Hip-hop didn't require hard time or a desire to speak out in favor of bitches getting pimped to be popular. And to think it was still able to be relevent. Huh.
Just a few thoughts.
